Cancellation and Refund Policy

At The Jungle Journey, we understand that travel plans can change. We strive to be as flexible as possible; however, because our services involve government-issued permits and third-party hotel bookings, we are bound by strict regulations.
Please review the following cancellation terms carefully before booking.
1. Jungle Safari Cancellation Policy (Jeep, Canter, & Elephant)
Important: Jungle Safari permits for Jim Corbett National Park are issued by the Forest Department and are non-refundable and non-transferable once booked.
- Confirmed Permits: Once a permit is generated with your name and ID details, no refund will be provided for the permit cost under any circumstances.
- Jeep/Driver Charges: If you cancel a safari 48 hours before the scheduled time, you may be eligible for a partial refund of the vehicle/driver hire charges (excluding the permit fee and service charge).
- Last-Minute Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled safari time are 100% non-refundable.
2. Hotel & Resort Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges for hotels, resorts, and Forest Rest Houses (FRH) depend on the timing of your cancellation relative to your check-in date.
- 30 Days or more before check-in: 10% of the total booking amount will be charged as a processing fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
- 15 to 29 Days before check-in: 50% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.
- 0 to 14 Days before check-in: 100% of the total booking amount will be charged. No Refund.
- Note: During peak seasons (Christmas, New Year, Diwali, etc.), hotels may enforce a strictly non-refundable policy. This will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
3. Refund Process
- Request Method: All cancellation requests must be sent in writing via email to junglejourney.info@gmail.com. Verbal cancellations over the phone will not be accepted.
- Processing Time: Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 7 to 10 business days.
- Payment Method: Refunds will be credited back to the original source of payment (Bank Transfer/UPI/Credit Card). We cannot refund cash for online payments.
4. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)
- Park Closure: If the Jim Corbett National Park officials cancel safaris due to heavy rain, floods, natural calamities, or administrative reasons, we will refund the Jeep and Driver charges. However, the government permit fees remain non-refundable as per Forest Department rules.
- Technical Issues: In the rare event of a vehicle breakdown during the safari, we will provide an alternative vehicle immediately. No refund will be issued in such cases unless the safari cannot be completed at all.
5. No-Show & Early Departure
- No-Show: If you fail to arrive at the pickup point or hotel on the scheduled date/time, it will be treated as a No-Show, and no refund will be given.
- Unused Services: No refunds will be made for any unused services (e.g., meals, sightseeing, or safari rides) if you decide to end your trip early.
