Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 1/13/26
Welcome to The Jungle Journey. By accessing our website, booking a safari, or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Introduction & Scope
The Jungle Journey acts as a private travel agency and booking facilitator. We provide consultation and booking services for Jungle Safaris (Jeep/Canter/Elephant), Forest Rest House (FRH) night stays, and private hotel/resort accommodations in and around Jim Corbett National Park.
- Disclaimer: We are a private tour operator and are NOT the official website of the Jim Corbett National Park or the Government of Uttarakhand. All government-issued permits and entries are subject to availability and the discretion of the Forest Department.
2. Booking Policy
- Advance Payment: A confirmed booking requires an advance payment (typically 50% to 100% of the total tour cost) at the time of reservation. The specific amount will be communicated by our agents during the booking process.
- ID Proof: Valid government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License) is mandatory for all guests (Indian and Foreign nationals) to book safaris and enter the park. The details provided at the time of booking must match the ID carried during the visit.
- Permit Availability: Safari permits and FRH stays are booked on a first-come, first-served basis via the government portal. We do not guarantee the availability of specific zones (e.g., Dhikala, Bijrani) until the permit is officially generated.
3. Pricing & Taxes
- Prices listed on our website (e.g., ₹7,500 for Premium Zones, ₹2,500 for Canter) are subject to change based on seasonality, government fee revisions, and fuel costs.
- Final pricing includes vehicle hire, driver/guide charges (unless specified otherwise), and applicable agency service fees.
- Any increase in government entry fees or taxes after the booking has been made but before the travel date must be borne by the customer.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
We strive to be transparent regarding cancellations. However, due to the strict policies of the Forest Department and private hoteliers, the following rules apply:
- Safari Permits: Fees paid for Jungle Safari permits (Jeep/Canter) are 100% Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable once the booking is confirmed by the Forest Department.
- Hotels & Resorts: Cancellation policies vary by property. Generally, cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival may attract a nominal charge, while cancellations within 0-15 days of arrival may be non-refundable. Specific hotel policies will be provided at the time of booking.
- Agency Service Fee: In the event of a cancellation where a refund is applicable, our service charges and processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount.
- Refund Timeline: Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original mode of payment.
5. Safari Rules & Conduct
- Guests must adhere to the timings fixed by the Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR). Delays caused by guests may result in reduced safari time or cancellation without refund.
- Prohibited Items: Alcohol, non-vegetarian food, and firearms are strictly prohibited inside the National Park.
- Wildlife Interaction: Alighting from the vehicle, shouting, feeding animals, or playing music inside the park is a punishable offense. The Jungle Journey is not responsible for fines imposed by forest officials for guest misconduct.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Wildlife Sightings: Tiger or wildlife sightings are a matter of chance and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for the lack of wildlife sightings during the safari.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for cancellations, delays, or alterations in the itinerary caused by natural calamities (floods, landslides), weather conditions, government closures, strikes, or any other events beyond our control.
- Personal Safety: While we ensure that our drivers and guides are experienced and follow safety protocols, all safaris and activities are undertaken at the guest’s own risk. The Jungle Journey is not liable for any injury, accident, or loss of personal property during the tour.
7. Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy. Personal information (Name, Age, Gender, ID Proof) collected during booking is used solely for the purpose of securing permits with the Forest Department and hotel reservations. We do not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ramnagar/Nainital, Uttarakhand.
